Upcoming Events Planned

Hi everyone,

This is an update of what's been happening.

The committee has been busy producing two publications due to be launched in the next few months. The firs publication is the Recommendations from the Conference. The 2nd publication is the Proceedings from the Conference (it is currently being transcribed and every session will be available when ready... understandably, this is a huge project.)

Upcoming Events

PRIDE MARCH: Phong Nguyen from the Ethnic Communities Council will be marching with all the cultural groups and the AGMC at PRIDE MARCH. Do come and look for us and join us if you are in town. Say Hi! if you choose to be in the crowd :)

MIDSUMMA CARNIVAL: We'll have a stall at the MIDSUMMA CARNIVAL to fly the flag ... so to speak. IF you wish to help out, please let us know. YOu have our email :))

CULTURAL DIVERSITY WEEK FORUM: The AGMC is planning a forum to discuss a "soon to be decided topic" on 19th March. This coincides with the Victoria Cultural Diversity Week. We will also be launching the AGMC Recommendations on the Day. Watch this space for more details.

What about the 2nd AGMC? I Hear you say?
Watch this space in the next few months for AGMC 2006! YEs... we are committed to doing it at the moment.

For the latest in the Recommendations of the Conference, please visit the website: http://www.agmc.org.au/

You will find a downloadable document on the recommendations which will be circulated widely to government bodies, ministries, community organisations and the media.

The Recihstein Foundation, The EOC and the VMC were all represented at the Launch of the Conference. The G&L Lobby was noticeably ABSENT.
